Adrian Dickson, Project Manager, International

Adrian joined Blue Heron in 2014, after more than 20 years as an award-winning journalist and editor for Reuters, where he held several senior news positions, including Bureau Chief Brazil, Managing Editor Latin America, Editor Japan, Managing Editor Asia, and Global Head of News Products. Adrian has reported from Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Venezuela, Mexico, Cuba, El Salvador, Guatemala, Japan, and Hong Kong. He has a BA from Boston College and is fluent in Spanish and Portuguese.


Beth Heath, Project Manager

Beth joined Blue Heron in 2021 with over 20 years of experience as an investment manager due diligence specialist. Previously, she was a senior research analyst and director of hedge funds at Colonial Consulting. Prior, she was a director at Sandell Asset Management and a vice president of due diligence at BNP Paribas. Beth began her due diligence career as a research analyst at Ivy Asset Management. She holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) designations and has a BA in economics from University of Rochester and an MBA in finance from Hofstra University.


Dorian Bon, Deputy Project Manager

Dorian joined Blue Heron in 2020. Previously, he worked at Gulf Researcher, an economic and policy research firm based in Bahrain. He holds a BA from Columbia University in comparative literature and society, a multidisciplinary social-studies and foreign-language program. He reads Arabic, Spanish, and Italian proficiently, as well as German and French at an intermediate level.


Elizabeth Douglass, Project Manager

Elizabeth joined Blue Heron in 2021 after more than two decades as a journalist in print and online. She spent most of her career as a business writer at the Los Angeles Times and San Diego Union-Tribune, but her work has also been published in The Washington Post and other newspapers, and on two non-profit journalism websites. She was also a research analyst at First Pacific Advisors, a Los Angeles-based mutual fund company. Her work has received national recognition and she has appeared on The Rachel Maddow Show, Public Radio International’s “Living on Earth,” and other radio programs, as well as in a PBS documentary. She has a BS and MS in journalism from Northwestern University.


Francesca Mirabile, Project Manager, Deputy Director, Quality Assurance

Francesca joined Blue Heron in 2017. Previously, she was a fellow at The Trace, an independent news publication covering gun violence. Francesca has a BA in communication from John Cabot University and an MS in journalism from Columbia Graduate School of Journalism. She is a native Italian speaker.


Graham Bower, Project Manager

Graham joined Blue Heron in 2022. Previously, he was a freelance tech journalist and developer of Reps & Sets, a fitness app for iPhone and Apple Watch. Graham was co-founder and CEO of web design and build agency Taglab, and digital marketing agency Polymath. He has a BA (Hons) in graphic design from Central Saint Martins College, London.


Jason Weaver, Senior Project Manager

Jason joined Blue Heron in 2021. Previously he managed and executed research projects for 23 years with the Grassroots Research division of Allianz Global Investors, working with journalists and researchers to customize qualitative, interview-based investigations that informed the decision-making of analysts and portfolio managers around the world. Jason has an MA in education and a BA in English from Stanford University.


Kristi Subramanian, Deputy Director, Project Managers

Kristi joined Blue Heron in 2021 after spending over 17 years conducting investment and operational due diligence primarily on alternative investment managers. Previously, she launched and operated Northbound Research, an independent due diligence consulting firm. Before Northbound, Kristi was a VP at PNC Asset Management within the investment advisor research unit. She was also head of research at Excalibur Advisors, a boutique alternative investment consulting firm. Kristi began her career within Ernst & Young’s national due diligence group. She graduated from Drexel University with a BS in finance and accounting.


Mary-Ellen Barker, Project Manager

Mary-Ellen joined Blue Heron in 2012, after more than 20 years with Reuters News. After many years of reporting and editing company news, she became Global Company News Editor. She previously worked as a reporter in the UK, Australia, and New Zealand.


Pablo Correas, Project Manager

Pablo joined Blue Heron in 2018 after working for the European Investment Bank as a trainee. He holds a BA in economics and politics from Swansea University, and read an MA in International Political Economy at University of Warwick in 2017. In addition to being fluent in Spanish and English, he speaks intermediate Italian.


Ravender Sembhy, Deputy Director, Project Manager

Rav joined Blue Heron in 2019 after more than a decade in financial journalism. He has held several senior editorial positions at the Sunday ExpressCity AM, and the Press Association. He holds a BA and MA in English literature and a PgDip in journalism. Rav has a special interest in the UK retail, healthcare, and banking sectors, as well as distressed debt, shareholder activism, and M&A more broadly.


Ray Hegarty, Project Manager, Technology

Ray joined Blue Heron in 2015 with more than 20 years of experience as a strategic advisor, research analyst, and technology journalist serving software, finance, and public relations clients. Before Blue Heron, he delivered primary research, competitive intelligence, product research and development, and M&A strategies for US, European, and Asia-Pacific technology/telecommunications companies. He previously served as a research analyst at Ziff Brothers Investments, a family investment firm, for more than 11 years. He has appeared on CNBC and written for Business Week and the Financial Times. He has a MSc in information technology from Cranfield University, an MA in the Sociology of Contemporary Culture from York University, and a BA (Hons) from De Montfort University.


Steve Holland, Project Manager

Steve joined Blue Heron in 2017. Previously, he was a journalist, newsreader, and editor in Australia, Asia, and Europe, reporting on politics, business, and finance for numerous media outlets including The Age, The Australian, Sydney Morning Herald, and the ABC. Steve has a Master of Laws (Juris Doctor) from Monash University and a Master of International Relations from the University of Melbourne. He is based in The Netherlands and is learning Dutch.


Taneesha Kulshrestha, Project Manager

Taneesha joined Blue Heron in 2020 after spending over 15 years working as a business and finance journalist for leading media brands in the US and India. These included India’s oldest business newspaper Financial Express, Mint, Outlook Business magazine, and Global Finance Media. A journalist turned entrepreneur, she founded MusafirNamah.com, a B2B news site focused on the business of tourism in India and South East Asia. She is a native Hindi speaker.
